    GRR Ripper GR-200

    Has anyone used this device?

    http://www.onlinetoolreviews.com/reviews/grr-ripper.htm

I am considering ordering one from Hartville Tool for $58. It seems like it would add a great measure of safety to the use of my new TS, especially considering that I have never used a TS before. I have already developed a great deal of respect for this tool and am looking for ways to decrease my chances of doing something that will earn me a trip to the ER.

I don't use my tablesaw without it. It is one of my most valuable tools!

Ditto what Sam said; in fact, I have two of them.

Using mine has given me alot of peace of mind and improved the quality of the saw cuts because it controls the workpiece so well during the cut. A great tool to have. I have two to handle feeding long pieces.

Have any of you fans used it with the BT? If so, anything special we need to know or do?

I use it with my BT3100. It pushes wood through the blade nicely.

I use mine religiously (which is in itself very weird ) and I still have all my fingers.

I use mine on both the table saw and the router table. Love it!

I also have two, and love them. I used the first one with my BT3100, before I retired it (the saw, not the GRR-Ripper). There's nothing about the design that precludes its use on any particular table saw.

A common question is, "How do you use it with the blade guard in place?" The answer is that you don't -- and that's just the point. The GRR-Ripper is useful as a push block anytime but it really shines on those cuts when you must remove the guard in order to make the cut at all. It also makes an excellent jointer push block, and as John mentions can be used on a router table, too.

I have one and use it on the Table Saw, Router Table, Jointer (when edge jointing) and on the Band Saw when resawing. Good tool, very safe.

I use them on the jointer as much as the table saw.

Got them last year at the Canadian Home Workshop show. They are used not only on table saw but also on Jointer and router table. Very safe and very practical. Most people go back and get a second one!
