    hitachi p13f planer for $200

Is $200 a good price for a new in box Hitachi P13F planer? Is it a decent planer?

    Thanks!

Based on what I've read, my understanding is that it's a decent machine at that price....

a google search for hitachi p13f doesn't return much. There are some negative comments made.

Doesnt appear to have sold well = less installed user base = less "free" support on forums like this

I think I'll wait for a AP1300 to pop up.

Yeah...it was never too competitive in the $350 range when pitted against the more proven 22-580, AP1300, DW734, and Makita, but the clearance prices of $150-$200 give it some advantages over others in that price range.

I guess my only question would be can you get blades for it? The price sound right.

I found a ryobi ap1300 open box I'm picking up tomorrow. Parts are probably much more widely available.
