    Surface clamp ??

I'm looking for something like Lee Valley surface clamp to use on
miter saw( Ryobi 12" CMS )

    http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.a...,57059&p=57059

This one is too expensive and does anyone know any cheaper ones or a plan to make one?

Ryobi CMS has 3/4" (I think) holes behind the fence and I think this would be a useful jig to have to hold small pieces.

Here are two (of 5), of the most useful "clamps" I have - seriously

Here's a Kreg clamp that will do a similar job for 28 bucks...
      Thanks:

Well, I can't use these with the miter saw. I need something very similar to the lee valley's jig. Remember the straight long thread goes into the hole which is behind the saw fence. The arm should extend over the fence and the smaller thread holds the work piece...

Found it! Well sort of. They come with Ridgid and Makita saws come with it.

check out the following picture. it is on left side of the blade

I wonder whether it would fit on my ryobi.

My Delta CMS has a similar clamp with it, except that for holding the workpiece it uses something similar to a toggle clamp instead of the smaller thread, like this.

Works great. I am sure you should be able to find a spare on the 'net from Delta suppliers. (or makita / ridgid). Sure to be cheaper than the LeeValley.

If you want I could measure the thickness of the main bolt. Did you say 3/4"?

No luck with these because the thread thick is little bigger for the holes on the saw...
