Dog gone it Cabinetman, you've had me thinking about this all day! While this rack was constructed to suit my specific needs, i.e. type of truck, size of field box, number and type of helos, I have thought of a few ways this could be modularized for wider application. It gets dangerous when my brain engages.

I've all ready modified mine and I haven't even used it yet! I decided I didn't like the bungie cord securements so I added some hold downs that fit over the skid pipes and secure with wing nuts. I even added a little plastic container to store the nuts/washers in!

We'll be on the road tomorrow heading north for a quick weekend trip. With that many hours sitting in a car, who knows what I might dream up!

NIce concept and you may have just realized your niche market. C.man, you could be a real sounding board for Larry with your experience in manufacturing and marketing.

Since this got bumped back to the top it got me wondering Did you come up with anything on this, Larry? Is it still tickling your interest or not? Inquiring minds want to know.

Well, on the trip, I did a lot of thinking and did come up with a mod to make it easier to load my Freya on the top shelf. I made an offset in the shelf to get a bit more clearance in the middle.

As for the "production thing" still thinking about it. One of my flying buddies was impressed with it so I think I'll wait and see what the reaction at the club field is next time I go out. If there's interest..........It won't however be this weekend since I'm leaving tomorrow for a weekend at TALLADEGA!!!!!!!!!
