Ordering parts from Home Depot?

I've asked about ordering tool parts at 2 local HD's. Noone seems to know anything about it - best I accomplished was one guy recalled seeing a sign in the store touting www.hdparts.com. Sign is gone, site doesn't exist, they say they don't know if there's an internal HD computer system to order parts...

Anyhoo, any of y'all have better luck at HD? Hoping to avoid paying shipping.

You will likely have better luck going to the tool manufacturer's website and finding the nearest service center. Around here we have a shop that services a very wide variety of power tools, that's where I go to get parts.

HD isn't in the tool parts business. They're in the high margin, high volume, low-medium quality, tool business.
