      Look at this thread. Its not about the Hitachi but the 21829 appears to be unique with this issue.

          Some may not agree, but a plunge base in a router table equals too many variables for inaccurate cuts.

            Some routers may have that problem but I have been using a plunge base with a Hitachi 2 1/2 Hp router for a couple of years under a table and it is very, very accurate. Gotta remove the springs and then smooth as silk.
